Alma and Primo Enhancement Requests

During the enhancement process, product working groups gather enhancement ideas and vote on top enhancements to be developed and included in future releases. As a member of ELUNA, ODIN participates in this process by submitting our own ideas on where the system could use improvement and voting on the ideas we believe would be most beneficial. The timelines for the Alma & Primo enhancement cycles are below.

If you have an idea for improving Alma or Primo, please submit it via ODIN Help Ticket by the following dates:

Primo Submissions Deadline: January 27th, 2023
Alma Submissions Deadline:  February 3rd, 2023

Please include a full description of the functionality desired (including screenshots where applicable) and how the functionality would provide improved or more efficient workflow.

If you submitted enhancement ideas last year that did not make the cut, I encourage you to submit those again if you would like them included for this year.

Primo Enhancement Timeline:
January 28 -- Deadline to submit new enhancement requests in NERS for the 2023 round

April 3 – April 6 -- The Enhancement Team reviews the results, and they’re sent to Ex Libris to assign development points
Note: The top 20 are requested to be pointed, per the Product Development Collaboration Agreement, but the full list of results are sent as a good opportunity for Ex Libris to see community interests
April 7 – June 1 -- Ex Libris assigns development points and the Enhancements Team determines if a second round of voting is needed (8 weeks)
June 4 – June 18 -- If necessary, a second round of voting takes place on pointed requests (2 weeks), or otherwise we’ll advise of the successful accepted submissions to be delivered
