It is time to upgrade PRODUCTION Polaris software to version 7.6. Maintenance is scheduled for Thursday, June 6th with the start time slated for 6:00 am CST; however, work could begin significantly earlier so please STAY OFF PRODUCTION until we send out the “all clear” message. PAC, LEAP, Simply Reports and Remote Client will be unavailable during the upgrade. Authentication for databases and access to OverDrive will also be unavailable during that time.
Maintenance can take several hours (“done by noon”) but realistically we expect to have the system upgraded, verified and available for your use by mid-morning. You can register for the Polaris What’s New in Polaris 7.6 webinar scheduled for June 6th at noon. Highlights include new options for bulk waiving fines, as well as several technical services enhancements for Leap with the advanced MARC editor, item templates, ad-hoc bulk change, and acquisitions workslips.
For those libraries who wish to use offline circulation during this period, please verify it is installed on the PC used for circulation. You may also want to review the documentation and video for offline circulation on the ODIN website found at https://www.odin.nodak.edu/training/circulation/offline-circulation-leap.
