The Mission of the Lakota City Library is to serve the people of Lakota and the surrounding area in the realms of information, education, inspiration, and entertainment. We will strive to do so by providing ready access to books and other materials, public programs, and information technology.

However we must remain vigilant in communicating the services the Library provides. Because of that we have implemented a Vision Statement to help guide us on that mission.

The Lakota City Library aspires to help residents of all ages learn, engage and thrive. We will create ongoing opportunities to participate, connect and discover.
