This session will cover how to create and personalize the Collection Discovery function in Alma/ PrimoVE. 
We will discuss learned mistakes, our favorite collections, and how we plan to integrate them further into our library services at the Chester Fritz and BSC libraries.

How to Customize the Alma Interface
In this session, we'll cover how to personalize the Alma Interface according to the user role and user login. 
We'll talk about the Alma navigation bar, quick links, and how to modify record lists by ordering and hiding columns. You can streamline your workflow by customizing the actions that appear in action buttons. 
Finally, we'll discuss Alma homepage widgets and data visualizations to help you get the most out of Alma.

In this session, Open Educational Resources will be defined along with an overview of Creative Commons licensing. Participants will learn sources for finding quality OER and introducing OER to your wider community.

Biography 
Kelly Kornkven is the Library Director at Mayville State University Library. 
She received an M.S. in Information Science from Florida State University and a B.S in Education from Mayville State University. She has coordinated the implementation of the OER initiatives on MSU’s campus since 2016.
