The use of the ODIN online library catalogs is open and free for all to use. When viewing the ODIN home page, you may choose to search the Ufind or ODIN Classic catalogs. Both options allow you to select a particular library or the entire state system when conducting your search.
The use of ODIN licensed online databases is restricted to those who have a current and valid user ID with any North Dakota library. You will note there are a few links on the database page that point to free databases, and a login is not required to utilize them.
When logging into the system, your library card will contain your ID or barcode which should be entered as the username, and typically your last name should be entered as the password. If you do not have a library card, please contact your local library. If you do not have a local library, please contact the North Dakota State Library at email@example.com ; (701)328-4622; or 1-800-472-2104.
The first time you log in to the ODIN page with your library ID, you will be prompted to create a user account. Follow the prompts to create a username and password. After your account is created, you will have the ability in the future to log in using either your library ID/last name or the newly created username/password combination.
