A barcode and password is necessary to enable users to remotely access statewide databases. For example, if a user at home connects to AOL and wishes to access the Electric Library link on your website, they may use this barcode and password to enter the database.

Setting up an Electric Library Link
The standard interface includes all information and the elementary interface includes a subset appropriate for the K-6 reading level. You may use either or both of these links to give your patrons the interface/information that fits their need. For example, the link your adult area webpage points to may be set up to use the standard interface for Electric Library and the link your youth area webpage points to may be set up to use the elementary interface of Electric Library.
